3.9.6. Check of backlashes between piston flutes and rings

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Backlash on height
1. A backlash on height between flutes and rings check, inserting a ring into a corresponding flute (1 – a piston ring, 2 – the piston, 3 – a set щупов).
2. The nominal (settlement) backlash for top компрессионного rings makes 0,045–0,08 mm, for the second – 0,025–0,06 mm and for маслосъемного – 0,02–0,055 mm. Maximum permissible backlashes at deterioration – 0,15 mm.
Backlash in the lock
3. A backlash in the lock of piston rings check a set щупов, inserting rings into the calibre having diameter of an aperture, equal to nominal diameter of a ring with the admission ±0,003 mm. It is possible to apply calibre А.96137 to rings of the normal size.
4. The backlash should be within 0,25–0,45 mm for all new rings. A maximum permissible backlash at deterioration – 1 mm. If a backlash insufficient, запилите butt surfaces and if raised – replace rings.
