Now on cars "Zhigulis" with generator G-221 the electronic regulator of pressure of type 121.3702 is applied basically. He does not demand any service and adjustments, and in case of failure should be replaced with the new.
In 70 and 80th years the vibrating regulator of pressure of type РР-380 (fig. the Regulator of pressure РР-380 see) was applied, repair and which adjustment are described in this chapter. The scheme of internal connections of a regulator is shown on fig. the Scheme of connections of system of the generator.
Safety measures
It is not necessary to confuse in places the wires attached to tips «15» and «67». If wires on imprudence are mixed, the regulator will cease to work and the top contacts will be constantly closed. Pressure on a generator exit will strongly increase that will lead to rough "boiling" of the storage battery and damage of consumers. Besides, there will be a sintering of the top contacts and a pressure regulator it is necessary to replace.
It is not supposed to attach condensers against a radio noise to a chain between tips of "67" regulator and the generator. It breaks working conditions of contacts, and they are damaged.
It is not necessary to connect additional consumers of the electric power to a feed circuit of a winding of excitation of the generator as thus pressure of the generator strongly increases.
It is forbidden to check working capacity of a regulator short circuit накоротко its tips «15» and «67». Thus pressure of the generator increases, and the rectifier can be damaged.
It is not recommended to uncover without need of a regulator not to break tightness of consolidation. Hit under a cover of a moisture and a dust leads to pollution, burning of contacts and, to infringement of normal work of a regulator. For this reason all materials applied in a regulator are checked up on absence of gas evolution. Therefore installation under a cover of a self-made lining is not supposed.
The regulator should be kept clean and to preserve against casual blows which can break its adjustment.
It is necessary to watch reliability of connection of the case of a regulator with weight through fixing screws as bad connection raises pressure of the generator much.
