The considerable part of repair work of bodies is necessary on emergency cars which, in most cases, demand check of geometry of points of fastening of knots and units of the chassis of the car.

For the control of geometry of points of fastening of knots of the chassis shown on fig. the Basic sizes for check of points of fastening of units, and also for performance of difficult repair of a body with the simultaneous control, installation for repair and the control of bodies, in a combination to adaptations for editing is used.

Control points of check of a body floor

1 – crossing of axes of forward bolts of fastening of the stabilizer of cross-section stability with surfaces of longerons;
2 – the centre of axes of the bottom bolts of fastening картера the steering mechanism and an arm of the pendular lever;
3 – crossing of the centres of forward technological apertures of longerons of a forward floor with surfaces of longerons;
4 – crossing of back technological apertures of longerons of a forward floor with surfaces of longerons;
5 – the centre of axes of bolts of fastening of the bottom longitudinal bars;
6 – the centre of axes of bolts of fastening of the top longitudinal bars;
7 – crossing of an axis of a bolt of fastening of a cross-section bar with a body arm;

On control points of a body floor it is possible, without dismantle of knots and chassis units, to check up on installation position of elements of a floor.

The adaptation for editing is fixed on an installation frame of from outside deformed part of a body.

Damages of a body of the car can be the most various. Therefore, repair rules in each separate case should be, the most suitable to these damages.

Almost in all cases of damages of a skeleton it is necessary to remove some details to find out damages, to correct and verify a skeleton. In cases of serious damages it is recommended to clean all easily removable internal обивочные parts to facilitate measurement, the control and installation of hydraulic or screw jacks for elimination of warps and deflections.

Editing it is necessary to restore the initial linear sizes of a skeleton of a body.

The help linear sizes of apertures of doors


The diagonal sizes of apertures of the forward and back doors shown in drawing, should to be, accordingly, equal 1273±2 mm and 983±2 mm.

Distance between racks from the centres of links of the top motionless loops to opposite racks of apertures, on the centre of clamps of locks of doors, should be equal: for an aperture of a forward door 889±2 mm, for back – 819±2 mm. From the centres of links of the bottom motionless loops to opposite racks of apertures of doors, on the centre of clamps of locks, distances should correspond: for an aperture of a forward door – 926±2 mm, for back – 863±2 mm.

The help linear sizes between the central racks


Distance between the central racks without an upholstery, at height from a bottom of an aperture of 270 mm and 270 550 mm, should be equal, accordingly, 1397±2 mm and 1234±2 mm.

The diagonal sizes of apertures of windows should make: for a wind window 1375±4 mm (fig. the Help linear sizes of apertures of a wind window and a cowl), for a back window see 1322 4-2 mm (fig. the Help linear sizes of apertures of a back window and a luggage carrier cover see).

Distance between flanges of apertures of windows on a car axis, there should be 537 3 mm equal, accordingly, for a windscreen, for back – 509 3 mm.

The diagonal sizes should be equal for a cowl aperture 1547±4 mm (fig. the Help linear sizes of apertures of a wind window and a cowl), for a luggage carrier cover see 1446 4-2 mm (fig. the Help linear sizes of apertures of a back window and a luggage carrier cover see). The width of apertures on a car axis should correspond: for a cowl aperture 876±4 mm and for a luggage carrier cover – 601±1 mm.

The difference of the diagonal sizes of an aperture of a wind window, together with apertures of a back window, cowl, cover of a luggage carrier of one body should not exceed 2 mm.

At body repair it is necessary to restore and the external backlashes specified in drawings (fig. the Basic sections of a body (a body kind sideways see)) and (fig. the Basic sections of a body (a body kind from above see)), between a body and doors, between a body and a cowl, between a body and a luggage carrier cover.

Non-uniformity of a backlash (конусность) no more than 1,5 mm, выступание obverse surfaces, concerning motionless, on size no more than 2 mm is supposed.

Most often at skeleton repair replacement of wings, panels передка and a back is required. It is possible to take methods of replacement and repair of these details for a basis at repair of other details of a skeleton, the knowledge of an arrangement of welded seams thus is necessary.
