Check of an axial backlash of a cranked shaft

Axial moving of a cranked shaft is limited by two persistent half rings established on either side of the back radical bearing. From the forward party of the bearing it is established сталеалюминевое a half ring, and from the back party – ceramic-metal (yellow colour). Half rings are made a normal thickness (2,310–2,360 mm) and increased (2,437–2,487 mm).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The axial backlash between persistent half rings and persistent surfaces of a cranked shaft is checked so:
      – Establish the indicator on a magnetic support and insert the ends of two screw-drivers, as is shown in drawing;
      – Move a shaft screw-drivers and check up on the indicator an axial backlash which should be within 0,06–0,26 mm.
2. If the backlash exceeds as much as possible admissible 0,35 mm, replace persistent half rings with others, increased by 0,127 mm.

The prevention

The axial backlash of a cranked shaft can be checked also on the engine established on the car, by means of the adaptation 67.8701.9510. Thus axial moving of a cranked shaft is created by pressing and отпусканием coupling pedals, and the size of an axial backlash is defined on moving of a forward ring of a cranked shaft.
