13.4. Cars VAZ-21021 and VAZ-21023The car VAZ-21021
On the car VAZ-21021 was established the engine 21011 instead of 2101. Therefore features under repair the engine of this car same, as at VAZ-21011, stated in subsection 13.1.2.1.
The car VAZ-21023
On the car VAZ-21023 was applied the engine 2103 with the increased volume of cylinders and capacity (subsection 1.4 see). Therefore the car VAZ-21023 has the best high-speed and dynamic indicators.
The engine 2103 differs from the engine 2101 increased in the height of the block of cylinders and in the radius of a crank of a cranked shaft increased by 7 mm. In connection with большей in height of the block of cylinders the length of a chain of a drive of a camshaft is increased, are changed a boot натяжителя and успокоитель chains.
The block of cylinders of the engine 2103 is easy for distinguishing under number of model cast on a left-hand side of the block of cylinders. The cranked shaft of the engine 2103 on one of cheeks of an average radical neck has marks «2103».
The chain of engines 2103 has 116 links, i.e. even number (58) of internal and external links. The chain of engines 2101 and 21011 has 114 links, i.e. at it odd number (57) of internal and external links. Parity or oddness of number of external links is easy for checking up, having combined together both branches of a chain.
The length of a new chain at engines 2103 makes 495,4–495,8 mm. A chain replace, if it was extended to 499,5 mm (subsection 3.12.7 see).
For difference of boots натяжителей chains there is a label in a kind tsilindri-cheskoj dredging on a face surface of the arm welded on a boot. At boots of engines 2101 and 21011 label is in the top part of an arm, and at boots of engines 2103 – in bottom.
For difference успокоителей chains of engines 2103 for them is available vertical acting risk in length of 25 mm on a surface of a rubber overlay.
On the engine 2103 the carburettor 2107-1107010-20 which differs following тарировочными the data from the carburettor of 2105-1107010-20 engines 2101 and 21011 is established:
– Diameter диффузора 1st chambers, mm diameter: 22;
– The main fuel jet of 1st chamber, mm: 1,12;
– The main fuel jet of 2nd chamber, mm: 1,50.
In the rest repair of the engine 2103 is similar to repair of the engine 2101.
